sounds troublesome. I think Popular or those art shops would carry something like 200-250 gsm laminated sheets. That would be quicker and more durable I reckon.

aluminium material and glue to a cardboard..

hmmm ok.
I don't like cardboard coz it can crease, or acquire 'dog ears' after some time. Plus you can't really wash/wipe it.

skylover,

I am doing a review with sample pictures of all the diffusers available... stay tuned.. will be up in about 30mins.

DD.. I'm looking forward to your master piece.. :D

wad's the reasons for bending the Demb back by about 10-15deg?

correct me if i'm wrong, by doing that, isn't part of the light going to expand a bit more backwards? or in this sense, the concentration of light will be reduce? cause u r pointing ur flash upwards directly to the ceiling for it to bounce it off?

The bulk of the light is still going up, hit the ceiling and bounce down. the bounce card is to just push some light forward. When you fold it back slightly, you will bounce less of the light forward, making it more soft. So with the Demb (or the china copy you can buy in mass sales), you play with the angle of the bounce card to control the "fill" light.

meaning the light is less forward-aiming and a little bit more biased towards the ceiling. If the bounce card is totally vertical, perhaps it throws TOO much light forward :)

Sorry to derail the current discussion... still processing images and having fun with compositions ;p:

You can even bend it forward to force strong light forward. LOL...

lolx.. so if i take portraits.. my flash light will be side ways.. the effects are different from when you take it horizontally. so in this sense, in this sense, i bend it backwards a bit more, the light shld be less harsh right?
