If it was up to me... I'd opt for more SDHCs... Beg/borrow/steal/buy... Super lightweight and not worried about having extra equipments to carry around... and also not worry about the extra care you need to exert yourself onto...

SDHCs...buy already then still can sell in BnS one mah... otherwise, just go for super cheap smaller SDs... 4GBs X 8 should be cheaper than 8GBs X 4 which is cheaper than 16GBs X 2...

Actually if self drive, laptop, netbook very important.

Need to change plans, can use in hotel/motel to book things online. Can chat with friends ask for advise... can do email... search for routes... be a live topo map... And get a power invertor... those with car charger port and covert to 110V... so can charge phone, laptop, netbook etc... Great for camping too.
