well, will likely be both at almost the same time, but that is dependent on the big IF... that is, whether I really end up buying FX.
To me, it's just for the 'shiok' factor, and unlikely to improve the quality of my photographs

I think now just wait-and-see what the D700 replacement brings to the market. If nothing that I need, then will hoot D700. 16-35 probably will get off the BnS.

Frankly, at the moment I do not see the need to look at FF UWAs (yet)... the costs are simply prohibitive... After a long serious thought, my DX UWA serves me just fine. It's for my leisure shoots, afterall. I'm keeping my D90+UWA as one set. FF + zoom as another set...

For leisure, I'd agree with DX + telezoom... But not if one wants to make a living out of it... (strictly my opinion of course, I'm sure DX + telezoom for some can also go professional - I'm refering to "real-estate" of the sensor)

DX + macro however is also good.

DX+UWA, I was thinking more in terms of lightweightness for travel...

not dont like.. just want Wider-UWA.. and with 24-70 as well.. a little repeat of range... UNLESS I get the old 35-70 old pull-push lens (about $500-$600).. then I will keep 16-35.. then I will end up with two sets ... and no money

If you won't use the filters, then go for 14-24 lor... D3 has got a high dynamic range right?

Will keep my options open. Don't worry, I'm not the petty sort. Have bought/sold a number of items between my friends and I. So far no lost friendships

I still enjoying my D90. No hurry to replace it. As I told akerue, if I need to get a camera tomorrow (eg. spoilt, lost, etc), then will most likely hoot FX ;p
