Reminds me of the recent casting of a local "police/detective" series... One thing that irked me... was the female casting of the tech-geek, plum and smart... C'mon!!! Character idea blatantly copied from the Criminal Minds! Where is the originality in that?? Caused a big riot in me... For that, I'm not going to even give it a chance...
Criminal Minds is WAYYYYY better than anything mediacorp will likely produce in the next 5-10years. We are at least that far behind. I guess it also has to do with audience sophistication. A lot of singaporeans probably still "catch no ball" when they watch those fast-paced series.

One series that has potential is "Catching Spiders", not the best - but certainly not the worse that you don't want to watch it... The casting is pretty good so is the film capture. Humour is there, some line ideas are copied but it is done so because everyone already knows it so well... Like the "band of brothers"...

Hohoho

Left car at orchard den tk train go cityhall BBB

lolx.. icicx.. gd idea.. fanastic idea.. Carkpark in Central Area is very very expensive.. beside.. and its peak hour anyway.. i guess going in and out will be a problem..

Since when Mediacorp produce a show that is original enough.. Singapore Idol was copied.. the duno wad race.. was also copied.. a lot of the tv series or shows are copied.. I rather watch US tv series than SG version.. its not anywhere near what the US are doing..

So far of all the local dramas, I think only "The Pupil" has some potential. It was the only local series that I took some effort to catch/record :)

Yeah lor... got no reference subject, how to spot barrel distortion?
beats me.

Tks.. U probably are.. Distortion for tis lens very gd, almost negligible

Wah... portrait also can spot barrel distortion. Your eyes must have super-fine gridlines :bsmilie:

just making a wild guess.... probably I am wrong. :embrass:

barrel distortion (especially mild one) is almost impossible to spot unless:
a) you photograph an object from straight on.
b) the object has straight vertical (with regards to your orientation) edges
c) the object is at the sides

Otherwise such a comment serves no purpose other than to dampen one's mood. Like going to a person's housewarming and saying "I think your toilet is leaking"...

Congrats on the 70-200 VRII :D
Stealth purchase!! Hahaha

it's the English that is confusing. Pretty sure not a native speaker. Sounds almost like Chinese being literally translated to English, with spelling mistakes thrown in. A lost cause I would say. You guys really patient to help out! :)
