Important part is the material used (permeable or not), secondly...threading around the seam lines.... lousy thread, heavy rain sure soak through one...

For TT Hydro, I know for a fact they have some special inner waterproofing linning (some kind of film)...

Light drizzle, any cheap material will do, even ziploc... but heavy rain... no joke... :sweat: Water goes through every nook and cranny it can find...

Can wait a bit see if can feel the material locally or not? I soooo kena poisoned by TT (thanks to peeps here) that I can doubt Kata's workmanship liao... :sweat: Haha, no offence... tomorrow I go see if can molest Kata's offering or not... I dun think TK has it, coz they didn't recommend me one...Only TT's...

I have a feeling Kata's offering is evenly-winged armlets (browsed the internet)... No armlet for the lens... But for sure the longer zoom covers from Kata will have armlet for lens body...

By the same token, you oughta try TT's version at TK also...get a feel of the material so that you can compare it with other offerings as a guage... my opinion of course.

I think the "raincover" will also help if you like birding.. breaking the shape of the lens+camera will help.. I think

It works. Tested. I mean, it is not rocket science. If the chinese can make raincoats for people, how hard is it to make raincoats for cameras...
