I think I saw a few AF-D models (non push/pull) on sale at 2nd stores at Peninsular and probably Adelphi as well... one is selling as low as 950 I think...

No lah... cannot say like that.... not all zooms are that ex.... 55-200 below 500, 55-300 is below 1K... 70-300 VR also below 1k... 28-300 slight above 1K... But all these are smaller aperture series... Not "fast" zooms...

80-200 and 70-200 are considered "fast" zooms mainly because of the f/2.8... can capture good images in low-lights... hence the price... the glass elements are bigger and heavier as well...

nice~ so far i've not seen anyone selling it for <$800 unless i missed that durian.. :sweat: and kopitiam post count not counted.. found out recently too.. :(
