I know it's difficult here, since we hoot everything from sunrise/set, to portrait, to maybe food later... or even macro eventually (dunno)...

Wah. A lot of people know already leh. Tokina 11-16 first then SB700 or SB900. Then maybe 35mm or 24mm, or go into macro. LOL! LONG WAY TO GO LAH! sucks to have no power to BBB

nice shopping list . . . at least you know what you intend to get next. :)

Generally we will hoot everything lor . . . and then will specialise in certain field.

So i presume most here are at the stage of 'hooting' every fields . . .

Jack of all trade but master of none.

so so true, with our working schedule, and life in singapore, how often will we able to go shoot, every aspect of photography we are interested...

as for me i always got this nagging feeling, i might drop photography and solely concentrate on video and audio, sell all my gears and get a small camera only...:)

Focus as in a particular genre... if macro, go get everything that you need for macro. If landscape, get everything you need for landscape... that kind of focus..

But for landscape, what els do I need? Other than maybe a better ballhead? And of course, the various filters. :)

But it's going to take me a long long time to achieve t. Hehe

Exactly, if master of none, then you'll eventually think that you're no good in anything and will drop out in the end?... In the long term where does it lead to? :dunno:

Unless you do this, you focus into something like macro (get everything that you need) - try and try and learn from critiques, read, look see look see. If still doesn't work out, sell and recoup the $$$ and redivert into another genre of your interest.

We all just have to try loh... btw, when I get my long lens I'll be waiting for you to jio me to one of the matches... :bsmilie: I kid not when I say I'm going into sports.

Right now, ideas are running in my mind about how to get to Sepang for their races... :bsmilie:

No way! Ballhead still more suitable for me. Hehe. For now, of course the G20 is sufficient.

Bro, don't just get into BBB like we already try to influence here... think of what you really need next... Since you already have a reasonable ballhead to start with...work with it until it can't give you anymore... If I were you? L plate... and yes, FILTERS. At the same time, you might wanna think about travelling to remove areas - on your own in the future... Frankly, I trust most landscape artists work alone because they need the peace to think about their compositions, and not get distracted... sure we all can still go out for outting etc... but ultimately, a solid novel writer always try to find solitude to write her/his best novel... right? How to compose for the best picture if you get into somekind of TCSS? LOL... For me, I'd prefer to go shoot alone, coz I won't want my family to wait like siao and feed mosquitos just so I can capture one long exposure... Besides, with them on your mind, how to concentrate? Something's gotta give for sure! Unless my kid wanna learn with me, I'll still have to go alone myself...

i am hooting everything now but prudently lor . . . and always ask myself whether it is worth it to venture in.

After a while you will find something that you like best.

Like for my wife . . . she shot everything and now she enjoy macro . . . so she will get the better touchlights, accessories for the macro shooting.
But our gears still the cheapo ones, but we enjoy. :)

ZCA needs about at least 50 people who are interested, or else no go (price will never be that good). It will take a long while. Meantime make do with what you have first and focus on the filter part...

I just read up on rules of Photography from S-Leagues website, am I reading the correct rules? (meaning those do apply to me? or not) :bsmilie:
