still will sleep cause suck thumb. at least the problem can be rectified.:)

mornin' folks!
Today looks slightly less hazy, but still a far cry from the skies I've become used to.

Will be at Suntec area probably around 4pm. How come Kriegs expects lots of BBB today?

No lah... say say oni... :bsmilie: I'll be there earlier, late morning perhaps...

sorry guys.. no focus chart on hand and no printer to print one.. pls pardon the weak resource to test my lens.. pls do help and see if my Sigma 24mm f1.8 has front focusing issues.. to me it looks like it.. :(

Yep, from what I see, there is a focusing issue... :(

Problem is, you never know if the sensor is catching the line you intended or the next. Focus chart will eliminate that possibility of error.

Also do note the focus shift issue. You should test the focus at a longer distance, as that is what you will normally shoot.

I don't mind going...

You all leh?

Yep, I'm going, if nothing else crops up. ZCA? Coolthought? Anybody else?

will be busy on sat and sun. I will just pop by when I can so, my timing is unpredictable and can't join you guys. Enjoy yourself there. ;)

No worries, I'll double check it out on our coming Studio outing, you're going right? I'm sure you can help with the checking better. Will bring focus chart.

Thanks bro! Actually last night I managed to google that with your post's key words... ;p same page.

So it is working like the SU-800? How much is the price going to be, you gather? :) I doubt I'll get it so soon... who knows I might be crazy enough for R1C1... JUST kidding!

Different SU-800 shoots out commands using IR.

Pocket wizards shoot out info using radio signal.

There is another one called radio poppers. A friend of mine who is a pro in USA, is using it.

Thanks for the heads-up on the differences! Radio poppers... i'll google that! ;p

Thing is, IR versus Radio Wave... which is better? Please enlighten a gong-gong like me... ;p

P/S: nevermind, don't answer - I shall google that as well!

Radio poppers work differently...

It reads the IR commands from existing commander, and convert the signals to radio waves to send them, then convert back to IR for the remote flash to read.

And yes, radiopoppers have a nikon CLS version for several years already... Pocket wizards only work with Canon up till today (Nikon version not out yet).

IR is short distance and require line of sight or something to bounce off on. much like your tv remote control.

Radio is much longer distance. and do not require line of sight. The flash receiver can be in another room. Useful if you want to light up a door way or something.

I'm already on the website. I'm reading reviews of the RP. So they say I don't need SU-800... I guess D90 + RP + SB900 = I'm good to go?

Yup... you need to set D90 as commander.

And still control your flashes like you are doing CLS...

But I warn you first. poppers are not cheap... just like pwizards are also expensive.
