Maybe those 'invited guests' enjoyed a better evening, wined and dined by PML execs.

Got some family friends in town next week, and we may need to bring them out on the public holiday (Haji, right?). Will need to confirm again, but tentatively rescheduled ok....?

Yes bro... wide prime works wonders, especially with D90 and newer cameras.

I would say... anything <18mm for DX is considered ULTRA-wide

Generally this is how they're classified for DX cameras:
<18mm: ultra-wide
18-20+mm: wide
30-40mm: 'normal'
50-80mm: mid-telephoto
80+mm: telephoto

* of course the exact numbers are open to some interpretation. These aren't EXACT classifications.
