There is a shop next to Parisilk at Holland Village, called Lucky Store, its just opposite Subway. They are selling it for $770 with 8gb abd case.

Just saw at Mustafa. They are selling the FZ100 HD at $829.
They say "sales" normal price is $899.

So Paris Silk is much cheaper at $770. If you are talking about the same thing.

Most important "feature" - built in filter thread 52mm at front of the lens. No need to buy and fix a costly, ugly, ungainly and stupid tube-adapter fixed to the body, just to be able to put a filter in front.

The tube adapters were just a desperate try by silly manufacturers to squeeze some extra $$$ from consumers, just so that the latter can put a filter in front of the lens to protect it. Some idiot's idea - reminds me of the fake "panorama" switch on old film compacts, which in fact just makes two blinds fold down and block off the top and bottom parts of your 35mm film frame. Damn stupid.

Bought it for $680 at SLR revolution in Funan today. Free 8gb card and case. I think price dropped due to the canon sx30is which is selling at $665.

I bought it for $680 at slr revolution in funnan about a month ago. But if u do not need the speed of this camera, I suggest canon sx30is or fz45 instead. The mos sensor used in this camera really has alot of noise compared to normal ccd sensor.

Thanks for the reply HydroPoP :thumbsup:. . im actually comparing the 3 (fz-100, fz-45 and sx30is due to zoom factor and video capture) . .. based on your experience what are the cons and pros for you (fz-100). . looking forward to your reply since im itching on getting one before christmas time... :sweatsm:

I bought FZ100 before the reviews were out. Now felt that I should have bought the canon sx30is instead. Oh well, next time.
