btw how come u use a black marker to cover the word "canon"? use gaffer tape la ;p
Hehe.......
not me, the seller do it FOC for me.
:bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

you can actually force the "canon" laber out. than leave it blank loh

I just live with the fact there is canon label on my grip. Look intresting canon on a Minolta camera.

I didn't even know there is a canon logo until you guys pointed out

I am actually quite surprise no one want to buy this and so a modification.

WTS: Others - Canon BP-200 batt grip (for EOS 300)
i dunno if it's nice to say it here but anyway the reason is probably three-fold:

- modification for 5d requires some time and effort
- less ppl using eos300 slr liao
- a new one costs $60 from CP...

MTL....go and do some modding now! i read in a dpreview thread that the dicain grip is not mass-produced hence very unlikely we will even have the opportunity to buy it. (wat is the company thinking abt anyway!)
anyway the costs of the materials + the bp200 still cost less than how much u would spend for the dicain grip.....

mine has fooled a few people. interesting that they can spot a tiny "canon" label on the vg at the bottom but cannot see "konica minolta" splashed big on the top. i even yanked a few legs telling them that canon and minolta and sony merged. hahahaha... :bsmilie:

okai..I "MTL-ed" and sent an email to cathay regarding the BP200....... they called back this morning and ask me go down to make payment before they can order the BP200 for me..

apparently when i went down..they called the supplier and then they say the BP200 is out of stock again and the cathay salesperson who called me made a mistake as he thought theres still stock.... looks like a wasted trip.. haha.. so any brothers wanting to order the BP200.. please call and make sure you don't make a wasted trip down...

I am not complaining about cathay :bsmilie: .. I was lucky to meet quite a nice salesperson when i went down today... so my experience at cathay is still quite pleasant..Now they say they will contact me if they got stock... will let u guys know if theres stock... :)

wah lao ! i only ordered from CP last week.....so fast. another alternative is to go ebay buy a new one ...last time i checked costs around 65-70 incl shipping...

that's what i did. i was at CP and they checked, but not that friendly or helpful. simply said they have no stock AND they don't bring the bp200 in anymore. after asking just about every shop in the area i gave up and went eBay. all in paid $86 for a brand new unit, pity no used ones were available at the time...

i think it doesn't matter wat each one paid for his/her bp200 ah....the end result is a functional VG that adds so much more to the ergonomics of our 5d....for me now switching between vertical and horizontal grip feels very natural. good stuff!!!

did you also notice that your grip has improved too? i think KM (and prob Sony with the A100) made the body a little too small.. with the VG butting against my left palm stability has vastly improved.

putting in the VG is nice.. but i can't use my hand grip.. now both cost around the same... which one better....

The camera was a little small. The vertical grip helped alot. However with the Dynax 7D that was not a problem as the camera was quite big.

yeah!! got my BP200 from CP today..

So far cut away the Battery insert of the BP200.... don't have the CD-ROM audio cable at the moment.. shall get them tomorrow.. any idea where to get those CD-ROM audio cables? Can i get that at any computer shop? Or DIY shops like Home-fix??
