DIY Remote cable release US$3.50

Actually the canon remote is the simplest to make. Here's how to do it right:

Using those handphone handsfree sets do not allow the same degree of functionality.

well, for a start, Canon's cable release for 10D is RS-80N3 while for 300D (and my EOS50), its RS-60E3... obviously, there's some difference...
the guy in dpreview did it for his 300D, which I presume the cable socket is for a single jack as shown in the pic (same as my EOS50)
the cable socket for the 10D has 3 pins, which I really wouldn't want to force a single jack in...

I already have my RS-80N3 some time back.... the good news is, I don't have to get one for my EOS50

I don't really get what i need to do... :embrass: The 3 pins are so far apart from each other.. the ear piece jack can't touch all 3 points... And even if the piece could, it starts firing withing needing me to press anything... :dunno:

u want to activate the focus(half press) n the shutter button(full press), u need 2 switchs, the switch i refer here is the small button on the nokia earpiece, so u need 2 of it to be connect to the circuit to be connect to the common neutral grounding.

i got a really weird question... does this work for the G, A or S series cam? like the A70(mine) ;p ? Just interested... :dunno:
