Shooting against the sun can leave you with an underexposed foreground subject. A silver reflector may not quite fill in enough light and a high power HMI/ LED fresnel with c-stands and sandbags may be too cumbersome for some outdoor locations.
The maximum light you can throw (without electricity) to fight against the sun, is the mirror image of the sun. But you may suffer seven years of bad luck if you accidentally break a fragile mirror.
The next best thing is a giant lightweight plastic mirror.
You will need:
Ikea VIRSERUM 90cm poster plastic frame.
2 cans of Rustoleum Mirror spray effect
