Have you ever watch the movie STAR WARS?
If yes, you should know what they are talking about.
If no, go LASER FAIR DVD shop at Peninsula Plaza, they are selling there. :D

I think simply by watching the starwars series of movies are not really enough to fully comprehend or appreciate the intruiging obsession shared amongst original starwars fans who grew up with the movies during the late 70s and 80s (episodes 4 - 6).

Agree with the feeling, if I am not wrong, the 1st Star Wars Movie : Part 4 A New Hope was in 1979, then I still a kid, remember my dad bought me a X-wing fighter.

My greatest regret is that I gave away all those original figurines I once played with. Those days got no money to afford one of those starships. My favourite would be the millenium falcon...recently a shop is clarke quay displays that but says its not for sale. Then in the late 90s a series of reproductions were made (though not as good as the origianal ones) and so by chance i spotted and got myself a Y-Wing fighter, still sits in the box. If only I can get my hands on a snowspeeder.

with those original toys, they have increased so much in value.. too bad my dog like ate half of them up. Some have no arms to hold light sabers.. ahhahahaha
could have paid for all new camera equipment.

my greatest regret is that my DAD was the one who gave my figures away when i was 7 years old, i was looking high and low for it for many years until 11 years ago, i strumbled to toy stores and now i almost completed my vintage loose collection of SW figurines!

actually, it was done by joe augustine on power98 (when he was still working there) during the Eps1 hype. think the whole dialogue (in hokkien) went something like this. this is my poor translation....

Luke and Darth Vader fighting in the Death Star.....

*SWING*...*SWING*... (clash of light sabers)....

DV: loke...ka wa gi oh oh yee peng (Luke, come over to the Dark side)
LS: wa mai.... wa mai.... (NO.... NO)....
*more clashing of light sabers*....
*then DV cuts off LS's hand*

LS: AAAAHHHHHHHH...... (he screams in pain)
DV: loke... wa si nin lao peh... (Luke, i'm your father)
LS: AHHHHH..... bo hor nang! wa lao peh si liao!!! (NOOO.... not possible! my father is dead)

*then LS falls over the ledge in a long scream....*

problem is that its very difficult to appreciate the joke till u heard it in hokkien. i have the MP3 in office. but, due to some technical difficulties i can't transfer it out.
