Disable Flash in Canon EOS 350D?

Since you are using a DLSR, might as well get used to using AV, if not M mode. Really gives much more control than those "creative" modes.

If thats the case then its in one of the custom funtions to disable the AF assist or assist only with speedlites..

nope it's not the preflash. I was talkin abt the flash popping up.
Anyway as splutter mentioned when usign a DSLR I might as well use the Av, Tv and M modes. I'm a new convert to DSLR, hence the questions (thought there was an equivalent way to supress flash before you take a pic as you can do in normal digital cameras)

depending on what mode u use :-

P , Tv , Av , M = WILL NOT PROMPT UP THE FLASH ( unless u press the flash button )

AUTO MODE = WILL PROMPT UP THE FLASH WHEN LOW LIGHT ( that's a dummy mode )
