There are these stains on the back of the film(the matt portion) , can these be cleaned off? I tried rubbing with cloth on a damaged exposure, it doesn't go off.

Does anyone have any solution?

It's not Ruby...There's something wrong with the film (Lucky 100). I've tried a few rolls and gotten the same results.

Although i must admit your roll is even worse than mine!

Oh i see ! No wonder.
'Lucky'-ly this was a test roll to look for light leak...I shall swear off cheap films from now on.

Thanks for sharing, yours probably look less bad coz your scanning is better and finer.

is that from the black side of the paper (120 film)? I saw some chinese films have this problem.

Hmm.. I've gone through 50 rolls of Lucky 100 and never had such a problem. I DO have other problems like film jamming in the A12 back... grrr...

May I ask how long did you kept your film after opening the sealed wrapper? Was it stored in a dry cabinet or fridge?

Was the film expired?

Looks like fungus to me but I could be wrong...

It's 120 film, on the back(matt) side. Stored in my dry cabi as per all my other film, 2010-04 expiry. After opening the wrapper i loaded it and finished the roll in a week.

In fairness, this does not happen with the 135 format Lucky-100.

I used 120 Lucky film too.

Did you use latex gloves to load your film? I do that and sometimes the powder from the glove sticks to the film. I usually wash the film first to get rid of the powder before pouring in the developer.

Anyway, hope the rest of your film is Ok!

Confirm it's with the film.

The recent batch all have this problem and I have stopped selling the film.

If you've bought them from me and still have remaining rolls, please return for a refund.

But if you have bought them else where, sorry, I can't help you.

I believe it is only apparent in the 120 films as I have the same problem as well. But the 35mms are fine.

Emulsion/Batch: 8110065
Expiry: 2011/04

This might just save you from the grievance of having ruined images.

Chiif, do you have any idea if Lucky honors their film guarantee? Have you tried for a refund/replacement of your stock? If not, I will write in to them as I do have quite alot of these at hand.

i think chiif is right. there is something wrong with the film. mine had the same problem. didn't buy from him though

Yup confirmed lucky 120 film has this problem, using my last few rolls as test rolls. 135 is ok though.
