Direct order of large format or medium format film from Fujifilm

I nearly got the 4x5 liao but cause cannot get the FP100C45 in Singapore and the kit I eyeballing don't have sheet film holder I considering again.

Anyway Losheng, please keep me in the loop for the ordering of film. I interested in Fuji Velvia 100 4x5. Shot that in 35mm already super poisoned. Wasted never shot my RZ67 in that film before selling it at clearance price. Thanks (:

Which 4x5 were you looking at anyway? Film holder is a minor issue, it is not expensive, and many of us have extras that you can borrow or take over. If the camera deal is good, don't let it slipped due to film holders.

I will set up a mailing list for those of us that have been making regular overseas bulk purchase, and I will like to include your name in it, if you can pm me your email. Anyone else interested is most welcome to drop me a note with your email as well.

can people who only want 135 and 120 format be in the list as well? :)

Guys and girls, it's not just about 4x5 or 8x10 film, its about getting film for everyone here in Singapore.

135 and 120 film orders are more than welcome.

Let us set a Target of SGD$2000.

Let me start the ball rolling:

Nikkorrnos :
4 Boxes Fujifilm Pro 160S 4x5" Professional Color Negative - 10 ($?)
4 boxes Fujifilm Acros 4X5" - 20 sheets $35.50

Awesome! Thanks!

Is there a price list or something?

So how we have been doing it so far is to refer to the price in Adorama or B&H, and then split the shipping, GST and dispersement fees according to order value. So if you ordered $100 worth of stuffs, and the group purchase comes up to $1000, you'll pay 10% of the total shipping fees, 7% GST on your items, and 10% of the UPS Dispersement fee. This overhead amount is heavily dependent on the physical size, weight and total dollar value of the order. If you really want to be anal, you can argue that it is not fair to the rest of the group if someone decides to order an huge inflated helium balloon that cost $5 bucks. Luckily, neither B&H or Adorama sells helium balloons. So far, there's a lot of mutual trusts between us. Good guys shoot films cameras.

So, there's no real fixed price, not until the moment the order clears customs (the GST is charged on an exchange rate that's different from the credit card company's). From the last few orders, the overheads varied between 14-25%. If you were to buy a really expensive item, like the M9, then this estimate won't apply obviously. In fact, the overheads will be very very low, and it will predominately just be GST.

At the end of the day, the bulk purchase is not only for cost savings - some items are just not available in Singapore.

Fujifilm SG did not update me on acros which they said the bottle neck is at japan which they have not received any news. Taking the E6 control strip example. Wanted to get fuji control strips. However due to the long wait, we already got from adorama. Only after that they tell me abt price. Now I feel pai seh if I don't buy from them since they got back to us. If we buy, then there will be too much excess. Tough decision.
Sometimes, I call them till I pai seh... ok one more shot again tomorrow.

thanks sweat. maybe nikkornos has a secret door tio fuji japan. else we get from US.

My contact is mr pan pei who had dealt direct with fujifilm japan. He works for japan logistics. I will align with him. Meanwhile can put up wish list for referenfe.

how is this going?

im happy to put in order for 400h 220 (they have 220 in japan)

Fujifilm SG is quite passive about it despite me calling them like 10 times. I am sorry that I can't help. :embrass:
