Boy, what a day I had. I was at Raffles City Shopping Centre area taking some pictures. Suddenly I heard a loud "BANG". I turned around and saw a lady lying on the road. She was hit by a car. Good thing is, she is quite conscious. This is my 2nd time calling the ambulance in 6 months time! Good gracious. After all the commotion, I headed home. When I was walking home, I spotted a little group by the roadside. They were surrounding a cat who was knocked by a car. They had called for SPCA but they asked if I could stay because they had to go. Of cos, I had to stay. I called my vet hotline as well, and they gave me Mt Pleasant's number. I called Mt Pleasant and they gave me another number! I told that guy to sms me the vet taxi's number and he told me, "sorry sir, I cannot becos it is not our policy and our phone cant send sms." I replied, "DON'T YOU HAVE A HANDPHONE? I CANT BLOODY REMEMBER THE NUMBER!" Under normal circumstances I would be able to do so, but well, I was in a panic. That guy replied, "we don't have such a policy." What a crap.

When the SPCA van finally arrived, the uncle told me chances are not good. I told him to give me a call to keep me updated. He told me its SPCA's policy that they cannot disclose whether the cat will be put down or will be rescued. I wanted to know so that I can keep the owners informed if I see posters looking for missing cat. But looks like I cant help much.

What a day. Just like a drama...

Damn all those red tapes, a life was at stake and they give so much crap about policies.;(

It's good to have policies but sometimes pple stick so close to it and there are those that can be horribly inflexible. SPCA wise, I think its right that they do not disclose the outcome I guess. But we have to trust them that they will do their best. The only regret I have is that I can't inform the owners of the cat. :bheart:
aww pooor cat.

 nice, hows the effect in color?
may i ask did you actually metered the tree in front?

as I experience before, we can only shoot this kind of ray effect when our eyes can really see the ray shine thru, is this solid true?

please advise

thanks mysteryray. :)
color looks not bad.. but I felt the green in the foreground is drawing attention away from the rays. anyway, might be becos I have a fetish for b/w pics. hah. I believe it its a lot easier if you can see it with the naked eyes although I guess camera sensors are capable of capturing things tat cant be seen. it definitely helped that the prev night was raining. :bsmilie: I think its evaluative metering or partial metering if I am not wrong.
