it's still cheap to mi... cause kodak handling charge is $5 handling and $0.50 per peice....

Perhaps u can ask him to lower the price if u have >50 in future. So how's the quality of the prints ?

yes very important part is the quality.... does he do adjustments of brightness correctly? does it come out too bright or over saturated?
;)

will only be collecting tomolo..........

u all mean that some shops help to edit the photos?

wonder if anyone tried the online digital photo developing by singnet and hp.???

they WILL and WOULD not some.... cause it is not bright enought to be seen when it is developed so they enhance it. it may look agood on your computer screen but it might just be because the moniter's setting is bright... so the results might not be as good...

i have collected..............quality is good

but i feel a bit paiseh.......becoz he do printing in bulk............but i only sent in around 37...........

one question............how come when i photo is taken in
1240 X 768, there is a black border around the photo. The photo is printed in 4R

i found a shop in toa payoh that print digital photo for a cheap rate. the shop is called AMK photo service (think so). i believe there are a number of shops in Singapore.

there is no handling charge for more than 25 photos and each photo cost 35cents. However it takes them 3 days.

for less than 25, handling charge is 50cents per piece plus 35cents per piece.

i think they use kodak paper.

"for less than 25, handling charge is 50cents per piece plus 35cents per piece."

mmm....confused...so it the handling charge 50 or 35 cts ? :) btw, it the shop near the Toa Payoh Central area ?

it is near the interchange..........

the handling charge is 50cents per piece.........
and
each photo will cost another 35cents each

i think we should compile a list of shops... so that all of clubsnap can benifit from this....

Imptance of a digital printing lab:

1. Will there be a handling charge?

2. How many pieces can I print to get a good discount?

3. How much is the cheapest/piece?

I read some of the threads:

Summary is forget about online - always there will be some charge or the other. Some areas I have checked out:

The Toa Payoh Central shop (near starbucks) - $0.35 per piece if at least 25 and takes 3 days. Else $0.50 a piece immediate. Correction for someone who said there's a handling and then a charge...where got so confusing one!!!

Shop at Far East Plaza - Kodak Express - $0.50 a piece and no handling charge : near Sunny bookshop

Balestiar Plaza as mentioned in this thread - let's confirm $0.30 a piece for minimum of 50 pieces and no handling charge and PSS members get further 20% discount??? This sounds like the best deal...:D

Peninsular Plaza - some Fuji/Kodak shop - don't know which shop exactly but on ground floor. $0.40 a piece no handling and no minimum nos.

My 2 cents...

Suggestion: ClubSnap should get some bulk discount thingy starting? How about sourcing around for it together with PSS...I think we can do it lei...

:embrass: :D

If i'm not wrong, it's bcos yr 1024 X 768 pic is in 4:3 ratio. For 4R, it is best to crop to 3:2 ratio b4 sending for developing. If not, you may get black border in yr case. Or if worst still, missing head or body parts in yr pics.

but if the developer is good they will know which part of the pic to crop away to fit the photo.....

Moderator, can we made this thread sticky so that ppl know where to print at 4R at $0.30 per piece without handling charges.

woah! 4R at $0.30 per piece?

no handling charge, and is there any charges for processing (or should i call it developing)?

and is the paper they use good?
