Hi,

Anyone used a 'Digi-Cabi' dry cabinet before? Any comments? Worth to buy?

I bought from carrefour at 99SGD only.

I put digital camera, video camera, films, seeds .. alot of junk in it.

I also emailed their office for advice on temp settings, quite quick their repsonse .

Not bad so far, except the power adapter is hot...scared might "blow up"one of these days ! :)

I think its 3 or 5 years warranty.

What i would say ... cheap and good.

Hi... thanks for the tip.

I do agree that the warm power adaptor is rather worrying, especially for a piece of electrical equipment that you keep 'on' all the time. Dunno when it's going to catch fire and burn the whole house down!

My question:

"hi i bought a ED-030 30L. I am storing video camera and digital camera. What settings do i make on the humidity settings knob. A, B, or C ? please advise.
thank you"

Their answer:
"Dear Sir,

Please turn the knob to your right to Lo
"

Hope this helps

I thought you should be more interested to get around 45% to 55% relative humility using an accurate and calibrated hydrometer instead? Turning the knob to "Lo" doesn't not guarantee that you will get optimal storage conditions.

Had you ever touch the back panel of a refrigerator? It's much much warmer than the power adaptor. That's why you need to leave that in a clear, uncluttered space.

Then set to what ?? :)

It's not a matter of "set to what". You should adjust the position of the knob till you get a steady reading of between 45% to 55% on a calibrated hydrometer.

I notice that the drying unit of the digicabi (the ones at Carrefour) is HUGE compared to the Toyo Living, more than twice the size. The digicabis at Carrefour are only 1 year warranty so I am surprised that mscolor's website gives 5 year warranty. Hope its not a typo as I plan to get one...

Qn to digicab user - is the unit well sealed? i.e. does the red light keep on coming on even though the door is closed and you have not opened it for some time?
