Hi, I bought a "New DB-036" model from Carrefour for $109 on last Friday. This is the first time I’m using it. It has only one LED on the knob. I just check the digicabi with out putting any of my equipment inside. Then I noticed when the knob is at 12 o'clock position time to time it is giving different readings on the digital RH meter. I wonder my set is a faulty one. :o :o how can I resolve this???

mie at 10. had to monitort and adjust for a few days to get it settle btween the 50 - 55 range.

after that i drops and rises within that range.

mine is spoilt after 6 mth of use only..

!@#!$and they want me to remove the dehumidifier myself and bring down to their company to service..

hai..it costs onli $100 per cabinet and so much trouble for it..

On-Site Service is only provided on the first year of purchase for DHC Series of Dry Cabinet. A transportation/labour fee will be charge from the 2nd year onwards.

i have a question...what happens if it is set too powerful? below the recommended 45 to 55% range for cameras? curious...can someone enlighten?:dunno:

According to the manual, setting it too high is bad for leather and rubber parts. They may become brittle in the long (very long, I presume!) run.

eeps, then i better adjust mine...it's @ 41:confused:

You are lucky. Its been 4 months since I got it and the highest setting I have got is 35% and its still stabilising. I removed my lenses to be on safe side. They sent a replacement to my local distributor in India, but I am having a tough time getting it from the guy. He thinks its a setting problem. Its AD 120 and I get around 35% at 7 ' 0 clock. still to stabilise. initial reading was 55% RH. imported from Singapore. Guess I have to try convincing them ( bought from digi hub in Singapore). How is digi hub in terms of honouring their warranty?

Hi guys,

I heard that its not advisable to put the cam inside the dry cabinet with the camera strap(fibre material) on.. How true is that?

If its true, den wouldn't it be a hassle to remove and put back the cam strap everytime?

Thanks :)

The dry humidity level will not affect fibres... unless probably you're going to use the same strap for the next 50 years.
The main concern is the AF mechanism, not so much on leather, rubber or fibre.:)

It's fine to put the strap in there. And there's nothing wrong with 35-55% humidity.

Hi,
i am using a Digi too. Advise to set between 45 to 55 % Rh. Mine is tune @ 45% However, i observe sometime the RH value may drop or rise due to surrounding environment. When i turn on the aircon.THe RH may just drop to 35 % and on a hot and humid day, 55 to 60%. Just allow it to stablize, and observe the next day. It should just go back to the range you set..

Also, not advisesable to put your equipment right in after a shoot. Leave in your room for an hour or so before putting in back to the Cabi...

Ezestan :D

I had to put my dial to 3pm in order to hit 45%.

is there anything wrong with it?

Hi guys,

Thanx for the advice..

cheers :)

Hi,
I guess the setting required to get the rh varies with model and unit and also the place.

Anyways, had a quick question. I left my digicabi in a ventilated room without ac and turned it off. The RH fluctuates went upto 52% and came down to 49% . Is this normal? Looks like cabinet is not air tight.

What is the current price for DB-036? is it below $100? where is the best price to get?

its possible to get it for below 100.

I'm also using the DB-036. What's the purpose for the 3 color zones in the system?

Perhaps it is for indication of humidity. Low, Med, High.
