Did you all do this?

Mine's a Digi-Cabi and yes it has that thin layer of black coloured foam sheet but still rolls around and I don't want to the lens to rub against any other contents in the dry cabinet.

May need to look around for something to hold the lens in place without putting it inside lens case.

No. I was referring to some foam with curved top surface (3 of them side by side) to hold lenses in the horizontal position.

I am using dimpled foam and it works pretty well too, my lenses are kept lying down without fear of them rolling. ;)

Bags are always outta the dry cabi. Sometimes your bag may get wet because of rain, etc. So... dun put your bag in the dry cabi, just your precious stuff.

I keep my lenses standing upright rather than lying down. Not sure if that would pose any problems.

When I had my film SLR F65 and lenses, I used to leave them in the dry cabinet, as I only use them occassionally for events or travelling. Now that i have a D50, my film SLR stays in the dry cabinet, together with my used film strip, CDs. My D50 and lenses, SB800 & accessories stays in my bag most of the time, as I usually carry them out for shoots. I also do regular cleaning ( maybe like once a month cleaning the lenses & body).

So far, I don't seem to have any problem with fungus, even for my old lenses. There is only one case of dust on the sensor, which I sent to NSC for cleaning (free as still under warranty).

Personally, I don't see any problem if you keep the camera outside in a bag, if you use it all the time, and if you clean them regularly.

Can check whether most of you all put their camera bag in the dry box or cabinet or put it outside.
Is there any problem if you leave it outside?
How often you clean or wash the camera bag?
Will your camera bag get more dust when you are carrying it around?

Sorry, maybe is stupid question, but just want to find out and share amount our CS members..

For me I just put it outside, also never get to wash the bag at all....

how about speedlights? do you guys keep them in dry cabinet too?
is it neccesary?

same as my D50, in the bag, cause use it very often too. Anyway, got a 3rd party flash in my dry cabinet. So far no problem.

For me, the dry cabinet is a convenient place to put all my camera stuff, if I don't use it. Easier to find and move out for shoots, as I don't have to go to so many spots to get the gears. Of course, my bags are placed outside the dry cabinet togethers.;)

For me all photographics equipments which have electronics parts will go into the box.

Mine didn't come with that, know where I can buy them?
