Tamron announced their 17-28mm f2.8 FE for Sony E-mount ahead of CP+ and from the looks of it, this lens will be smaller and a lot cheaper than Sony's 16-35mm f2.8.
On an APS-C A6400, the equivalent focal length is 27mm-42mm. This will be a conquest lens for the E-mount APS-C system as it offers- for the first time - an affordable constant f2.8 wide-to-standard zoom for Sony shooters.
27-42mm is also a convenient range for camera interviews in small quarters.
Consumers no longer need to stick to Canon if they want reliable video AF and a fast zoom (EF-S 17-55mm f2.8)
Apart from missing an articulating LCD and touch menu, the A6400 completely blows Canon M50 out of the water in the video department.
