This guy i PM him and gave him my Hp No. Tell him i want to buy his camera just need to arrange a place to meet up for the deal. But today saw him closed the thread selling his A640 canon to someone else. So annoying;( to see that while i waited for him to call me because i call him on fri but he sms me on that day that he is working and will call me when he is free.

Why got such ppl...sell to someone else and promise me in the first place.

did he really promise you? coz there is no indication in that thread that he promised to deal wth anyone.... most sellers ask for HP number from the ppl interested so that when the auction is closed they can contact the highest bidder....

He call me i missed his call so call him back.

He did not pick up and shortly send a sms saying he working will contact me again. so i wait over the week end and to see on his thread this morning that the camera was sold.

Well it doesn't sound like he promised to sell it to you... different story if he actually said "deal, i'll sell it to you for $xxx"....

btw i'm not related / know the other person but i don't feel it's right to shame him in public like this if you do not have a genuine case

Hey paesyl, it happens... just move on.

I had something similar happen. I PMed and SMSed the seller, but no reply. So I gave him a call and he said the item had been reserved. The next day, he then calls me and I missed his call, when I called back 1h later, he said he had already agreed to sell it to someone else. Oh well, that's life. Just move on.

Look at it this way, he called you back but couldn't get you, so he decided to approach the next interested party. He's under no obligation to wait for you. He runs a risk if he waits for you, what if you didn't return the call, then he would have missed out on selling it to someone else fast.

Your case is not so bad. Mine is worse. Settled on the price and seller wants to deal that same day but I told him I don't have my cam presently for testing and seller said deal next day and told to sms him. The next day he just MIA, no courtesy to even reply my sms(when I send him sms for place n time to deal) or call. Someone must have offered him higher price.....these people are such looser, don't think can make it in life! BTW nick "switchz_**"

You'll always get black sheeps once in a while but there are more good ppl in CS than black sheeps so forgive them and not worth getting upset over these type of ppl.

anyway cool down. there will always be a better deal out there. i experience smething similar...yrs back.. not from this forum. arranged the venue and time and has already finalised the price n both party agreed. 1 hr b4 the deal, the guy called me saying tht another person offered 50 bucks mre than mine and will be selling it to him unless i offer mre. I got so annoy and told him off. but then tot about it just forget it. At least i nvr got cheated on my hard earned cash.

The price is not settled unless he accepted your offer in writing or at least verbally.

This is not ebay, so there is no implied obligation to sell once the asking or reserved price is met, nor is there an implied obligation to sell to the highest bidder. The seller did not state any such terms so he it is really his freedom to sell the camera to anyone.

How do you know the person he sold the camera to did not make the offer earlier than you?

You do not have a contract in the first place so there is nothing for the seller to "honour".

Complaining is one thing, but making false accusations, and not the first time, is really uncalled for.

Speaking of those devils I just encountered one case, settled to buy a 18-55 kit lens, deal at $XX price and place at the seller's home. Everything has been set and now said that ppl offer more and ask me wanna up my price. Anyway this chap bother to sms me back and at least i know it'll not be a wasted trip tonight.

What I'm trying to drive is "that's life and we move on and not be bothered by noise......concentrate on your shooting and be happy!

ya lah. Everybody changes the mind so I am ok with it. Thus I also NEVER hold things for people. IF you want to bid, prepared to deal soon. I also don't like bidding system cuz there is like a 90% chance the winner will not honour his bid...... It is better if you set a buy now price so that guy who bid knows that he will WIN and be prepared to deal.
