My charger just died. Looking for a replacement. It would be good if Sony came up with an in built solar charger with the camera. Then we don't have to worry about looking for an outlet to charge batteries. It will also beat the task of carrying many spare batteries for locations with no access to electricity.

I'd like to see some of the features that Sony had in their prosumer cameras. Such as zero lux imaging, and laser AF-assist for low-light photography. I thought that these were cool features which were occasionally useful.

yeah. their night shot mode was cool. was able to take pictures in total darkness.

What I can't understand is why doesn't sony release some Lens to ensure that exisiting Minolta won't jump wagon. It would show Minolta users they are really serious.

Just talked to my friend who owns a camera shop. He was at Sony talking to one of the sale guys there. According to the Sony sales guy Sony will be releasing lens with Minolta mount but with Carl Zeis lens. Basically it means the prices will go up because it's a Sony.

With price of ram dropping they would simply put in a bigger buffer.

Let's build in 2 x 8GB CF into the camera at the same time.

Now, if only the buffer can cope with this speed!
I don't think the camera processor can handle the speed like that for 6Mpixel photos. Also not sure DSLR can do that or not mirror flap 60/s  , I think its more for consumer and prosumer camera. Unless Sony make a changeable lens system for something like R1
