Deciding between 5Dmk2 and 7D

going by your needs... you need a 5DmkII with a 24-70L... that gona cost you 3.8k + 2.1k... but this combi definitely allow you to be a freelance wedding photog in the future!

I hv this setup, n a 40D with 17-55 too.
In terms of pic quality, the aps-c wins hand down.
And it has IS too.
No fault of 5DII, but the 24-70.

OMG! 7D w/ 17-55 beat 5Dm2 24-70??? Will using 24-105 on 5d2 tip the scales towards 5d2?? :bsmilie:

I have both the 17-55 and 24-70. Both crop and ff body. No doubt the 17-55 wins when shot wide open. But after f3.5 onwards the 24-70 wins on anyday. In fact my 24-70 sees a lot more light of day then my 17-55 and this has nothing to do on whether it is a L lens or not. I am not one who is bothered by the outward appeareance of the lens. I am more concern with the pics that it churns out.

Portrait and landscape . . . . wedding photography. 5D2 naturally, very good with wide angles.
