December 6th Sunday Micro Outing - Sunrises

Thanks JK for organizing the outing, it's really been a while since last time I took my K5 out. It's really nice to have chat with Cheong, Joe, Chip. A couple of shots from Sigma 10 20.

Great captured....

I think thats all I have.
The place did not have much chance for other angles unless I had a 50mm or do a pano.

In hindsight, I think this angle which is from the lift A side is better.
A bit more breathing space between the Reflections at Keppel and the block below.
But since I arrived a bit late, I started shooting w/o actually looking around more. :D

Nice....is the Samyang FF lens too?

Yes, Samyang 14/2.8 is a FF lens and its very good for the money.
In fact, I highly recommend it as a FF UWA for the coming FF.

The only downsides are distortion (in which there are online correction profiles in LR) and the bulging front element which makes it hard to use filters.

Oh...thats a good news if it is a FF lens. Too bad it can't fit a filter...:( hope pentax will soon announce a FF wide. So far my standby FF lens widest is 17mm....haha

My last sunrise photo of this Sunday outing to share. I think this standpoint which Marcus took provide a nicer view with slightly wider lens than the 21mm I used to took this shot. This higher view allow you to see the road running towards the sun.

Too bad it rain the whole night till the early hours for round 2 of the sunrise outings.
We just don't know what to expect. :)

Despite the inability to cycle out to Bishan early, I thought there might be a chance that the clouds would be rained off.
That moment where the Sun peaks over the horizon and the angled rays skim the leftover clouds, accentuating every nuance of cloud patterns.
So I just took my camera and headed to the nearest block that would give me a reasonable pict.

Taken with Pentax K28/3.5
