this guy is a dealer, and he trying to clear his excess stock so i messaged him 50 for the raynox since brand new is 118 and i was trying to bargain with him so make an initial offer of 50 and he replied you are lowballer message ignored. so i was sincered and called him and he hang up on me.
then he go and post my number and flame me openly.
what is this world coming to? can't even bargain. and then it is right to accuse people and put their number openly?

the thread has been deleted becos (a) since he's a dealer, he has to sign up as an advertiser, and (b) buy/sell is not an 'experiment' to find out how much you can get for ur used stuff. hence, the deletion is not indicating that CS is supporting you, but becos the TS violated the rules.

any dealings between buyer and seller are private matters and CS mods/admins will not step in to mediate (we can't since it is a case of you say vs i say) unless it is fraud, which will make it a police case, which then the Admins will archive the thread/post for police investigations. other than that... it is caveat emptor.

yes but second hand people selling btw 80 to 90 with full set and packaging. so i just put initial bid 50 and wait for his negotiation. he just reply lowballer, you r ignored, end message. so i called him to negotiate as i want to get the raynox today or tmr urgently, he hung my phone calls. i replied him you are rude and dealer? then he go post my number to flame me liao. can just post people number and make accusation just like that?!

$50 is too low since given that a second hand full set and packaging sells for 80 to 90. He replied you that you are lowballing and informed you that you are ignored. At least he took the time to text you.

He might not want to deal with you anymore coz he doesnt wan to deal with any lowballers mayb that why he hung up on you. so calling him rude dealer. i think that not right.

but he flaming you openly(maybe for calling him a rude dealer). he is not right.

so in this scenario. it seems you and him are at fault.

Take is as karma. what you do to others will come back to you.

BUT that's just me, maybe for others, it is right to just ignore bargaining and negotiation and then go post people's numbers to flame them. well, i dunno..

Well he might not be right to flame you and post your number openly but at the same time i don't feel that it is ok to lowball people. Normally lowballers annoy the heck out of me, i'll just delete their pm and don't respond.

Here I am... the so called dealer... Let me give a more factual account.
I put up a want to trade thread on my many lenses that I bought from CS.

This guy offered me 50, so I replied jokingly - "auto generated message - You are a low baller. Message ignored. End of message", and I expected that to be the end right...

Then I received a message - "You are a very rude person... Hope your dealership can prosper". I ignored. Next I received another message

"Answer me! where is ur ethnics", then I saw him calling me... why would I want to answer his call and spoilt my day? So I ignored again and pressed cancel. Very pissed off, so in a fit of piss off state, I put up his name, and called him a low baller.

Next message came "What is ur problem, I just want to bargain, you go post my number.what is wrong with bargaining... Tell me your freaking problem. You dealer boy. quick" and another call followed, of course I ignored.

But i did feel wrong in posting his number, but I cannot delete my post, so I ask the admin to remove my latest posting. But the whole thread was deleted.... nvm...

2 more messages, which I still ignored = "You really got some problem. Either you find a way to remove the thread or I will infomr the mods what u r doing. How can anyhow put people number and put accusation."

please read my earlier post - i am not condoning anyone's behaviour by deleting the thread. i deleted it becos it violated the terms and conditions.
please read the terms and conditions for buy/sell, especially abt the part of test waters.

and unfortunately, no. it is not a joke. not when you yourself realised that it was rude and wanted the post deleted.

to the both of you - CS is not a place for you to carry out your personal vendettas. or for that matter, any buyer and seller. the dealings between any parties over any sale (unless it is fraud), is a private matter beyond the control of CS admins or mods. caveat emptor.

if the both of you have any more personal grievances with each other, please carry them offline? thank you.

We arranged our meet up details, and that was confirmed. then i SMSed you to ask if you would be willing to sell the dry box together with it at a lower rate, you said you'd consider. I ended up waiting for you for 45 mins and calling you maybe 20 times to hear either a busy tone or you hanging up on me. i don't really think you're in a position to complain about others hanging up on you, since you have no qualms about doing it yourself.

Later, you contacted my bf and said you were at a meeting. As if the world revolves around you. No apology for the miscommunication or anything. This unhappy experience with you leads me to believe that you were indeed disrespectful towards the seller.

What the seller did was perhaps against the rules, but i'm glad you've exposed yourself as a rude dealer and potential buyers/sellers would now know to stay away from or be more cautious of you. cheers for this post and highlighting it to all of us, here's wishing you luck in your future endeavours.

The fact that TS attempted to 'provoke' the dealer after making such a ridiculously low offer, I think that pretty much shows the character of him. At least the dealer realised his error and tried to get his post deleted. But for low-baller TS...:dunno:...don't like that lah.

castwind isnt a rude dealer. i've dealed with him before. he is more than a genuine seller. i believe he reacted in the fit of anger. no one likes lowballers. but yes please carry out your personal grievances offline! =)) i mean at the end of the day, he's not selling and ure not buying. so whats the point of going on and on? make peace guys!
