 On Sunday at Suntec, I became the proud member of sgshoot No. 67. The xiao meimei who came with me is No. 68. Nice to meet Rick and Joanne (so pretty and cute) and all the others for the first time. Peace to all.

Wah, which xiaomeimei?

We are currently in discussion with Joanne/Stanley on the exact relationship between their forums and ours as there is a potential conflict of interest, and on how we can move forward.

Your threads in here do not exactly help their cause as it reinforces our suspicion that our forums are being used to build their memberbase, which we have stated in our guidelines that we will firmly act upon if we find such activities happening.

Thread is now locked and future threads on this issue will be removed without notice pending a resolution with SLCC (if any).

And to clarify, SLCC's account is NOT deregistered - we have temporarily removed their Advertiser status (and offered a refund of their remaining subscription) and removed the threads in Workshops from public view, pending our final discussion and decision.

As Fullframe has tried to again spam our forums with the exact same message even after a warning was given, it is timely for us to provide some insight into what has transpired and to clear up the allegations.

SLCC's account has NOT been deregistered as so loudly proclaimed in the thread title - the status of the account has just been downgraded to Member as can be seen here - SLCC member profile - as we have cancelled SLCC's subscription as an Advertiser in the Workshops & Shoots section. We have offered to refund the balance of their subscription and are waiting to contact Joanne who is currently out of the country.

The statement "SLCC subscribs to many stickys and advertise for Many Photography Courses and they been paying CS lots of money over the years." is erroneous in the sense that while SLCC has subscribed to various packages over the last two years, the money collected is definitely NOT in the "lots of money" range. In fact, if members care to take a look at the rates here - Subscription to Workshop Rates - and multiply that by the number of advertisers there are in the Workshops section, the total collected on a monthly basis is only enough to pay a fraction of our costs.

The main reason we decided to cancel SLCC's subscription earlier was that we had come to know of activities conducted that served primarily to drive ClubSNAP members to their own forums. While we fully acknowledge that members are free to roam and participate wherever they like, we fully subscribe to our stand that we will not tolerate the actions of owners/administrators of other forums to come into ClubSNAP and actively poach our members whether by abuse of our system or by other means.

At the end of the day, it was purely a decision to cancel SLCC's subscription to the Workshop section based on what we have discovered. Just as any entity can refuse a sale/subscription or cancel a sale/subscription based on circumstances, we have done the same.

I hope that this provides more clarity to the members on our actions - the cancellation was not about the money, it was more on the behaviour and conduct that was found to be in violation of our guidelines.
