Im interested to shoot in JB too, but don't know the way around MY. Would like to shoot the milky way and long exposure seaside.

Hi, I'm from Pontian too.... Pontian have a super nice sunset, if u guys like sunset.... can be sunset portrait shoot also....

not really.
only certain spots are good.
the most of the coastal area especially near to the town are boring, no interesting foreground.
Unless you only want sea and sun those type of sunset photos =P
This is a nice spot for sunset after further exploration haha.(pardon me for the underexposed photo, should have pp it brighter)

Like wong_se said, October is a long time away. Why don't some of you be brave enough and travel to JB first instead of going all the way to Pontian for sunset and wanton mee.

I am all go for a prelude trip to JB too.
It could be a simple trip to a durian plantation (since it's durian season) or just some sightseeing around the city area.
The main point is to get to know each other better so that it will be easier for you guys to arrange future trips.

If it is Aug, i guess it is still in season. not too sure by Sep, the season will be over.
in JB, though not a modern city, but no durian plantation lah. May be u drive out from JB town. but then we need transport.
Seems there is a good response, I would start a new thread for a JB day trip in Sep.

Indeed. I am tempted to move this outing over to meetup.com for easy management of the queue and waiting list, but I don't want those who signed up to lose their spots. What do you guys think?
never used meetup.com. do we need signup to use the tool?
and is there any feature to re-order the queue hence we could maintain the queue list?

Yes, need to sign up for a free account. It is mostly a meeting/outing scheduling website. What I like is that its list management feature is very easy to use. When the list is full, users can go on the waiting list. When someone on the regular list drops off, the first person on the waiting list is automatically moved to the regular list. In other words, it's fully automated.
Let me see what I can do to protect your spots. But for now, everyone, please sign up for a meetup.com account, preferably using the same username as Clubsnap so I know who you are.

So you confirm want to organize a 2nd trip? If so, give me all the details like date, time, place, etc. and I can create two outings in meetup.com and CSers can sign up for either one.
