D90 - which kit set?

Hi,

I second going for the 18-105 kit lens.

Reasons as follows: 18-105 VR is a very versatile lens. I startedwith the D80 18-135 kit, loved the range, but the lack of VR was a let down, unable to shoot at 135mmm except for under sunny day condition.

Kit 2 was ok, but the need to keep switching lens causes missing shooting opportunities, instead of concentrating on the scene at hand, a newbie would be trying to figure out which lens to use instead. besides, once you gotten hang of the 18-105 VR, the hunt for new lenses begins, thus there is no lacking to discover other lenses later.

Oh No... Very expensive to discuss things here. This is an incubation for BBB virus. Can you believe it, my accessories list (items <$100) excluding tripod have grown to a total amount of >$300! It does not help that BR-2A is so affordable! You got it man!

$35 and it can keep you occupied for a long time.. ;p

I using this current combo now along with my 50 f1.8, SB600. Can't go wrong with the versatility, great for travelling! Now waiting to get a UWA to cover the 11-16 or 12-24 range that my 18-200 can't do.

Just got my D90 with kit lens 2 for $1829 from Alan Photo yesterday. Free SD 8GB + Lowepro Bag (Nikon).
Think the D90 with 18-105 they are selling at $1669. Free SD 4 GB + card reader.
Please call them in advance to check the stock before going down. Many place currently out of stock already.

Good question.I heard from some guy at AP downstairs that it had something to do with stock problems with nikon singapore but how can one trust AP?Anyway, someone should go ask Samuel personally.:think:
Anyway, you can't go wrong with buying from John 3:16.
