As long as you've got a D90 in your hands... F90 does not count btw, we don't know how to help anyway. :bsmilie:
But for starters, please do not expect a serious training lesson in mind, there will be more TCSS than lessons with much sharing to go around - no hogging anyone for info okayz? Your best instructor currently is still your D90 instruction manual. Must read it thoroughly first before you come - or else it is considered spoon-feeding (will not be fair to those who already did). Sorry to sound harsh, but it is fair to everyone that all do their homework first.
Also, none of us are pros of this cam, we share what we already know and learn what we don't. Love to welcome you aboard nevertheless!

in fact if there is morning or afternoon session lagi better.
lotsa sights and monuments in raffles area.

hahaha it seems Raffles Place is high on the must-go list
I'm actually ok la, just like to grumble about having to pay ERP + parking. If I park outside CBD also sama-sama. MRT + parking
OK la. If most vote for Raffles Place area, I'm game.
Aug 11 will be a working day for me, so morning and afternoon is not possible at all.
Earliest I can make it is probably 645 or 7pm.
I offer another suggestion for venue, and we put it to a vote:
Date/Time: 11 Aug evening
Agenda: some shooting, but mainly makan and TCSS about D90.
Location:
1) Raffles Place MRT area
or
2) Sultan Mosque/Parkview Sq area (nearest MRT: Bugis)
Can make it:
1) kriegsketten
2) Smiles88
3) bigrockshow
4) pasay
5) zerocoolastra

Makan first, TCSS then shoot (don't worry about night time, good time to learn flash setting and ISO management). An hungry photographer is an angry photographer... :bsmilie:

already started reading a bit today, focusing on getting a lens first(normal vr zoom, either 18-55 or 18-105 depends on the price

18-55VR is a good starter lens. Usually can find in the BnS section.
If you get it cheap, you might be able to sell it away later for almost no loss.
