errr.... guys.... chit chat use other thread hor.... don't flood this thread with irrelevant posts.yea cfm will shoot more, since its free.
read in the d7000 discussion thread that the high ISO performance is overrated.....
i guess tat means most wan to hold on longer for the d300s replacement
D90 user, how much you love your D90? Do you intend to hold on to it for another 3 years or even longer, regardless of the D7000 or any future D300s replacement?![]()
decided to hold it till i die . . . D90 is awesome . . .![]()
D90 price has already fallen SO far from its original RRP. A brand new kit costs something like 40% less.I was hoping more D90 users turn to D7000 so I can get a mint used set at a good price.
we try not to discuss pricing here, since that's not the intention of this threadCare to share the current price? I want to join the D90 family![]()

Hey all, a newbie. Just gotten my first DSLR D90 with 18-200 VRII Lens and very excited to start snapping.... Would take landscape and portrait pics. What lens should I get to complement my current Lens? Whats grey market? No warranty items? Important to get warranty if the prices are low? Thanks.
Jon
First of all, don't rush to get lenses (even though I know it's hard...:angel, use your current lens and brush up on the techniques, ISO settings, Shutter speed, Apertures to get the best out of the camera... Never to neglect your D90 manual - go through it thoroughly over and over again. I still refer to it till this day for some finer tunning of knowledge.
Grey market is a big risk - NSC will not service the lens if anything goes wrong. Out of warranty items would depends on the conditions of each lens, and WHICH lens... some lenses can be trouble free while others are prone to it over time. You need to do a research on this, nobody will have the answers unless they have that lens. Lenses with warranty generally commands a higher price (it's obvious), unless someone is really generous or for the sake of wanting to get rid of his/her lens quickly. Caveat Emptor.
Last but not least, welcome to the D90 fellowship.
Bro,
Some bro already confirmed with NSC that Grey sets will be service by them.
Same charges applied for local set if the set is out of warranty.

Realistically, can't expect it to fall much further, otherwise D80 and D70 will be pretty much worthless :bsmilie:
You are using the D40 now?
You'll really appreciate the larger and brighter viewfinder, added buttons for more versatile and quick control, and of course the ability to AF with more lenses.
Yes, still using the D40.
Looking at D90 as my next and last DSLR.![]()
