btw... how do you intend to use GND filter for portraits???

isn't tt going to be weird? i mean the outcome?

Yeah... Like Masked Rider!.... :bsmilie: But it is possible though... provided your angle is wide enough and your subject (gf/wife/friend/kid) is far away from you. More like a vacation portrait than real portraiture... It will be some blue into the otherwise, dull white-yish sky.

hmm.. ya..

anyway that is sth interesting.. I think I shall go experiment it to see if its really practically to do it even though as much as i still find it very very weird to use it for portrait.. =/

Urm... use soft edge one okay? Not hard edge GND... or else that would look REALLY weird like you've suggested. :bsmilie:

I rather use ND than GND to do potraits, but i the the help of a flash to brighten my subject..

Really? That's new, what's the purpose of doing that? Care to share?

hmmm.. I think there shld be a way to do it nicely.. its juz a matter of how..
Since lightings at the top will be decreased. There is a need to make sure you know how to control the lightings..

Like the mask of Zoro! Or Green lantern! :bsmilie:

But really, I'm curious what can you do with ND for portraits... I would think polariser would be more useful instead?

Today I feel like dropping by Canon Showroom to molest the 60D... ;p Hopefully they bothered to clean up the nose grease on the screens... *yuck*

Part of updating my knowledge of latest DSLRers we have around us. :sweatsm:

lolx.. I juz started as my gf keep pestering me to take nice photo at nite. Especially places like MBS all these. I realized its a pain in my butt cause I only haf one flash bang and its hard to control unless I got 2. sian to the max. I still need a few hundred more test shots to try out and see the outcome.

Lol! You need a macro setup for two flashes already... :bsmilie:

Wah, that means you visit the showroom often too? :bsmilie: Shoot until battery flat... MAN... you do keep them busy don't you? :bsmilie:

I don't always drop by even though I visit Vivo almost 3 to 4 times a week (for business related activities). But once in a while I get chiu jior and feel like getting to know the Canon system a bit more... To know the pros and cons when compared against the Nikon systems...
