Heard that the D810 don't work with the Sigma 35mm f1.4, at least in Live View.

I dunno bro..... was telling myself the same thing when I bought my first dslr donkey years ago....... but somehow things just got a bit "out of control" after that..... :embrass:......... now i am only holding on to the OMD..... but got a weird feeling things gonna change.....

We always tell ourselves "this will be our final setup" but it never happens At the end, buy within your means, dun waste money and calculate your ROI

Looking at the price of the D810 at $39xx, and the new D800E at about the same range (not sure current price), which one should an upgrade of D600 choose? Or is it really a no brainer to get the D810?

No brainer - D810.

Of course, its always wise to wait a few months to see if any serious bugs exist in the D810.

I'd go for the D810 without much hesitation.

Perhaps the only worthy Nikon D800E are the second hand ones that are going at a reasonable discount.

Depending on the batch... Just bring to Sigma and have the FW flashed to the latest, LV will work. Happened to me when I bot a D4s, LV on my sigma 105 macro does not work. Visited Sigma, have it flashed and it works like a charm. FYI.

Im coming from D300s. I guess it a huge leap if I were to get this camera

@ blueblood - Don't upgrade. Its either get new glass or wait for a year or two.

After knowing that Sigma 35mm has problems working, I hope this camera works with Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 vc

You should be able to find the answer from a quick guide inside the box. There will indicate the box contents.

I think thats normal for nikon cameras? Don't remember having any hot shoe cover for my d600 or d810.

I have hotshoe covers fr every Nikon camera I ever bought, including the d7100, d610, d800e and d700.

maybe....the battery is still quite new thou.....trying with another batt to see if it is the same....thanks....
