Thanks

its 18-135, and btw its not a VR..

There's only D80 + 18-135 or just the D80 body alone.

Naa. batteries in short supply so whichever shop has stock will demand higher pricing. Probably see if anyone is doing MO on batteries....Anyways I am overseas now so letting my finger do the walking will be quite expensive.....

Crossed over to the dark side ;) . Thanks to sykestang, was able to lay my hands onto a D80 + 18-200 VR. Great camera, :D great lens. Haven't shopped shooting ever since.

Got it from TK Photo. The service and voluntary suggestions were a lot of help for someone entering the DSLR arena. If i were to suggest, call up sykestang - "Won't go wrong" .

Yes, same case as you...but having had the time to assembled and shoot it..
Give your review of how you feel about the cam...

How much did you pay for the body?

I paid 1550/- for the body
Having waited for almost an year for buying a DSLR couldn't wait any longer. Had to BBB ;)

As f0r your Question Dan

Handling - The weight and size are just right for my big hands. The body feels rugged. Haven't done a drop test though ;p

Picture Quality - Decent. We've seen many samples here already but personally i feel they are usable at 800 ISO also. Haven't had to shoot at more than 200 but that's what i felt.

Feature wise - Satisfactory. Compared to the D200, it gives you most of what we would generally use. The in camera pic editing features can be handy at times but i wouldn't use them 80-90% of the time. I would rather use photoshop :dunno: .

The kit lens didn't do justice to the camera, so i decided to go for body only and buy the 18-200 VR. Happy with it.

Dunno what else to say, but would be happy to answer if you have any questions in particular or need ny pic samples.

Happy shooting.

Don't seem the price from the list below are attractive. Most of them quote me $1,600+ for body only and $2,000+ with kit lens.:sticktong

Went to my regular shop at Penisula Plaza, can't remember shop name, but think the unit no. is #01-04. Quote me $1,550 for body only and $1,990 with kit lens.;)

Try PM sykestang on original Nikon batteries.
