Supercool...at first they quote me Rm$750/- for the batt ,batt grip n sd card....

Today I check at TK Foto, the batt grip is S$280 and batt is S$65, both original Nikon.

If you paid RM750, it is like about S$300 inclusive of 16GB SD card (Class 10), not bad

I guess that would be the Di866 mk II, seems to be pretty reliable for TTL but it does have some problem with HSS. My friend's Di866 died after a few bursts in HSS.

HSS mean high speed sync ?

I have rented a SB700 for an event. Most of the time, the results were great. But once in a while, somehow it will affect my auto focus. That is to say, SB700 on = off focus. Once I off my flash, the AF is fine again. In the end, I need to sometimes resort to MF to make sure it won't mess up. Is this a usual hotshoe flash issue? Or I got a bad SB700 copy? Puzzled =S

hi all, I bought a SB700 a few days ago ($377) and found out the answer to my question! Thought maybe I'll just share here to help whoever may face this problem.

The Tamron 18-270 PZD I have will not AF accurately with the SB700 on TTL mode. It seems that the TTL communication between SB700 , D7000 and Tamron 18-270 is not that good. It works well with my Nikkor 50 1.8d though. But when I switched to Manual mode (as advised by a friend), the AF worked! :D

So if you realize your pictures are not sharp with an hotshoe flash on, try this method and see if it works :)

I think there was a similar problem reported on the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 a long time ago.
