Not sure if this is the correct thread. I have a d7k, one of my sd card suddently cannot be read in my pc. However i can view and write photo with the camera. Is there a way to do bulk transfer all the contents of one sdcard to another in the camera? Or is there other alternatives to save my photos?

Connect camera to pc using the wire and transfer images. When done, try reformatting card and see it pc can read it.

Hi all

Anyone can link me to the thread for 3rd party D7000 batteries? Where can I get? I have checked out with the "O" shop, they said the chip in the batteries have not cracked for 3rd party to fabricate. Is that true?

D7000 price have drop for most of the places including Alan Photo ($1688) not the best price but they are more reliable (to me) compare to Mustafa..

Just asked Alan Photo in funan just now, D7K body alone is S$1350. :)

I guess Nikon is lowering price for D600 launch.

Current price in marketplace for D7K body alone, without warranty is S$1.3K, plus/minus around there...

For S$50 more, you can buy a brand new set with 1 yr warranty off the selves.

Scraped my plan of buying 2nd hand. 1st hand brand new here i come!

Tough luck for current owners of the D7000. Like myself! Haha!

1.3k for used, body only, without warranty, is quite high! :O I got mine second hand also, 4 months ago. the ex owner gave quite a few useful freebies. Selling price minus off freebies, The d7000 body amounts to about $11xx, still a bargain lah :) save the $ to buy lens :)

I am still keeping my D7000 as a backup body. So the price drop does not affect me. But then, now I got another problem. The D7000 is sitting in the dry cabinet most of the time and I do not bring them out for my vacation to truly act like 2nd body. Dilemma....

Look like the D7000 not selling as hot cake...

For me I don't mind about not hot cake or new model for replacement.

Actually the D7000 on DX line has really good job,
Higher ISO and clear image with no yellow WB.

Even lightweight for being it out anytime.
Handle wise does a minor plastic feel, that's not a big issue, at lease when shots in night walkabout didn't worried at all.

For battery no issue still share with D800 today.

Mp no issue at 16mp good than enough.

I would continued keep until shutter/sensor die and replace :D

I agree that the D7000 is a very capable camera.

Nonetheless, the D7000 is merely a filler camera for me - I sold my D300s too prematurely. If the D600 is good enough, I would probably get that. Failing which, a sub S$3,700 D800 looks like an attractive proposition too.
