Usually, this is offered by megastore at the point of purchase. U can only buy it at the point in time (I think). No later. Essentially, what u buying is a insurance policy, literally.

how long they took for service the oil stains issue?

I had the same issue, sent it on thursday afternoon, the next monday, they told me it was ready for collection.

what i meant was from nikon themselve. canon, sony, pentax allow purchase of extended warranty coverage from the manufacturer themselve

I had heard of pro bodies with longer warranty periods. But I dunno how to get that..

Tamron 17-50/2.8 if you're on tight budget,
Nikon 17-55/2.8 or 24-70/2.8 if you're willing to splash some cash...

Haha. Thn go out and burst shoot everything now and check for oil stains

mine got oil stain at 2-3k shutter counts.. so u can check if urs had it or not.. but mine i think cox i shot burst at NDP..

Good points. I've shot about 160+ shots in burst and did oil check, so far so good. *cross fingers*

previously using Canon Compact~ Fell in love when D7K came out but at tat point of time i was into underwater photography so i didnt get it~ but hope i'm not too late :bsmilie:

I got mine from IT Show as well looking at the fact it was out of stock for few mths frm last yr end till this yr march and i'm deeply in love now with DSLR... now leftover stocks are few left at the few popular camera shops retailing at 1.9k++

Anyone can help me the long exposure? i tried using bulb but it doesnt run at all ... menu option was enabled...

D7000 buffer - when shooting in Ch burst, buffer is limited to just 8 :-( ??

I see some screenshot of a d7000 on google with buffer shown as 24, how can it be achieved.
I tried changing to jpeg (normal/fine) still buffer is at 8.

I use class 10 sandisk 32gig card.
