D7000 user...fall in!!!

Enough for around 1 body + 3-4 lens/flash ba.. (EDIT: It's true in my case, not sure for others ;p)
My Aipo 38L has 2 rows. top row i can put 3 lens side by side. Bottom lotsa space to put body (with attached lens), flash, etc.

I have received a confirmation from the new seller based in Singapore on the counter-offer.
Basically the highlights of the counter-offer is as follows
1) A lower price for body or kit
2) Freebies (Tripod, Bag, 8 gb Card, Reader) Or Nikon Original Battery (swappable)
3) Purchase with Purchase (lower price, and more items)
4) Buyer can pick up from any of their branches, not limited to one location.
The lowest price, is payable by cash. Buyer can pay via nets (1% surcharge), credit card (2% surcharge). Payment upon collection. Same target collection date: 19 March, if not earlier.
I will start sms all of you after my post. (Status Updates @ 529 pm, all sms is sent to all. If i miss out any, plse sms me)
Take your time to do your maths, compare the deals at IT show and your contacts. You only need to confirm your purchase with me via sms by Monday by 2 pm.

After doing my estimated math. A few figures are missing to determine whether the group buy price is better than the current nikon it show price. Can anyone care to give me exact retail prices from a dependable source if possible? They are
a) Slik tripod - what model
b) Kata bag- what model
As of now. $2299 nikon offer freebies breakdown pricing is of this estimation (feel free to correct if I'm wrong) (prices in relation to other 'discounted group buy prices)
a) 50mm + dry cabinet + 2x8gb + cardreader/cleaningkit +handstrap = $350
b) kata bag + slik tripod + Travel Bag = ??? (estimated $150 unless the bag/tripod damn chui and useless)
Preliminary calculations:
$2299 - a) - b) = $1799 without any freebies
Standard Nikon freebie prices:
8gbcard +reader = $20
Tripod + bag = $50
Total: ~$70

hmm.. freebies offered by nikon is very subjective. kata bag + slik tripod + travel bag may be $150, but it is quite useless to me as i know that I will not use any of it. slik tripod seems slightly better from the free standard nikon tripod from the past, but looking at it at the IT show today, i dont think its that much better. Its good for a beginner who wants to experiment with shooting with a tripod, but sooner or later most probably will upgrade. As for the bags, they may not suit everyone's needs. I for one know that i will not be using them.
Anyway, i doubt that the kata bag + slik tripod + Travel Bag is more than $70. However this is only my personal opinion, I have no idea how much it really is worth.
Anyway what im trying to put across is, doesn't mean that theres more freebies its worth it. I rather pay $1700 for d7k body than $1900 with tons of goodies worth $300 that i know that i wont use, and is damn hard to sell.
Yup.. 38EX model. Plastic tray. Doesnt make a difference for me though. Plastic tray can support alot of weight too.

Like you, I cant wait for my baby. But due to high demand, the seller needs time to prepare the stock. Unless there is unforeseen circumstances, Plse mark 19 March 2011, we will pick up our toy.
I will post on the forum the confirmed buyers on 14 March to make sure I have captured all. If I miss out any, Just sms me.
There is NO NEED to pass me cash. On 19 March, just go to the respective shop, pick up your baby, check your baby and ONLY PAY upon collection.

If you would like to purchase something different from the standard offer, you may ask the seller when you are picking up D7k, if they can offer you good price. My guess is this is where they may recover the margin from you since they are making thin margin from the group purchase : P You do your homework and buy if the price is ok.
D) REMAINING QUESTIONS
There are some questions on the standard items. I tried include the answer in the sms. If not, plse sms me. I will check with the seller tomor.
E) DEADLINE
If anyone is interested in group buy, plse sms me soonest, before I run out of steam : ) I may not be accessing internet frequently and will sms you when I get your pm.

Sorry I'm new to GB and I am puzzled by it.
If everyone goes to the different shops separately on 19th Mar to collect and pay for this camera. How will the seller ensure he gets an adequate number of buyers to warrant the discounts given ?
Some may back out the last minute.
Can I pay by VISA credit card with 0% interest installment plan (12/24 months) ?
Paying by NETS and yet charge 1% seem quite high to me as NETS are usually considered also as direct CASH.

The shop does not entertain individual walk in. I will submit the consolidated confirmed buyer list with your nick name and the last 4 digit of your mobile. That will be your ID to get the group buy prices. Yes you can back out last min.
