Saw it from oversea forum.. It is temporally stop of production instead of running out of stock..?

I doubt the firmware really help ..
But as long as it doesn't appear on the photo, for me.. Acceptable.

But I really hope Tat they can do a bit fine tuning on the color profile too..
They looks very dull..

Btw, I saw Harvey Norman suntec still got stock.

It's more than a firmware that can fixed. More involve some hardware glitch and of cos Nikon won't announce that due to image. Well, thus require the time to retify. Wonder will those "early bird" purchaser get a 1 to 1 exchange for the new batch. :think:

So do we wait or can we purchase it now? Called up the camera shop and they claim that their current shipment of existing stock is from the 2nd batch.

Since Nikon acknowledge this problem and have give their word to resolve and having known that, if is hardware issue, they will have stop production already, but since they never. It should be some problem that a new firmware can resolve. Pentax and sony also using the same sensor without much problem. So you can buy now and make do with the few hot pixels until they give a patch which they are targetting by the end of this year. For the time being, just shoot RAW and you don't get to see those pixel after importing as it will auto be filtered off.

Nikon won't stop the production laa.
Stopping the production and recall the product would repeat the Toyota case (recalling the vehicle due to gas pedal issue), later global sale would drop, lose market share and...

Ya, but they are selling at RRP. Just came back from HN suntec, the guy told me he got one set left, and whole Singapore stock level very low, so he can afford to sell at RRP.

I told him to hug onto his last set and go dreaming...

I won't pay for rrp, the most I will pay is 1.7k for body only and 2k for kit (paying cash), if using credit card, I think must add a few percent for the admin fee... Anyone know which other shop have the installment plan and what is the percentage for admin fee?

Bought mine in Mustafa day before yesterday. $2125 on installment. 0% interest. They had stock but the guy told me they sold like 20 on the same day.
