D7000 - Purple Line and Pixels

For me, it's either the sensor or the memory card.

If you can format your memory card and try shooting again?

Can the purple line been seen from the LCD screen? Did the purple line appear if you change to another memory card?

If it stull persue then suggest you bring it down to NSC for a check, it's a functional issue in that case.

It's a shame that it happened during your Japan trip :(

Just curious, how would the memory card cause the purple line on the picture?

No idea, corruption? Last time I had my experience when I'm still having my Coolpix P5000...

It's the sensor. Had the same issue with my D50 previously, and got the sensor replaced at NSC.

Sent to NSC, said need to check and monitor for up to 2 weeks. Given me a loan set interim. :)

As you have sent it to NSC, you may ask NSC help to update the firmware for your D7000 to fix the hot pixel issue. The firmware has been released already :)

NSC did mention to me it could be due to the memory card... But I did about 90 shots today with the loan camera, using the same memory card…the pictures are all ok without even a single purple dot!

At least NSC is kind enough to lend me the loan set for this year end holiday season...
