D7000 Kit Or Body With Other Lens?

:) okay..
Btw, D7000 is a nice camera.
Maybe just me like the feel of D300s

No, frankly, I love the feel of D300s too >_< With the battery grip, the upgraded speed of rapid fire really makes me grin :D

Just that I don't think I'm good enough to hold one T_T

Then all beginner should get a D3s or D3x, skip the tokina 11-16mm and go for 14-24mmf/2.8. :bsmilie:

So to you, Nikon line up for camera should be
Pro Series: D3000, D3100, D5000
Semi Pro: D90, D7000
Amateur: D700, D300s
Entry Level: D3x, D3s

That's what I said!:
"As you get better and better, you can then downgrade to a D5100, then D3100, then a point-and-shoot, then to a camera phone (for the elite, they use only pinhole cardboard box)."

If a beginner can afford a D3 series, he should get it!! Why shouldn't he? :sweatsm::lovegrin:

Its like the story of the kungfu master: As he starts out green, he's given the legendary sword; as he gets better, he uses a normal sword. Then as he becomes more proficient, he just use a wooden stick. Heh Heh Heh...

It seems that there ain't no consensus on which one is better D7000 or D300s. So, what does that mean. Well, it is a matter of personal preference and one is better in some aspects and there is no clear advantage of one or the other.

But in general, a newer camera is theoretically better as new dSLR will always be better.

And well, this is the www/forum. So, we get lots and lots of info, and also, lots of Mis-info as well.

Who say only Michael Shumacher can drive Ferrari? If you can afford to buy Ferrari, go ahead~
Otherwise, those who just got their driving license should only buy China QQ rather than Honda Civic, Mazda 6, Posche, etc...but we still see many expensive cars in Singapore and we don't even have a Michael Shumacher here :dunno:
Don't really like the comments that beginners cannot buy D3s or whatever high-end camera bodies. Maybe those people are jealous because they can't afford to? :bsmilie:
The only wrong thing you shouldn't do is to borrow money or take loan to buy expensive camera bodies. If you have plenty cash on hand, there is nothing wrong you spend them on your favourtie hobby. Photography is not a competition to see who can take nice photos with cheap or expensive gears, but rather a self-satisfied hobby to fill up the free time.
Life is short. Go shoot and enjoy.

So therefore, the more beginner you are, the better Equipment you should get! Beginners like you and me should therefore use the Best Cameras we can afford!

As you get better and better, you can then downgrade to a D5100, then D3100, then a point-and-shoot, then to a camera phone (for the elite, they use only pinhole cardboard box).

hi hi, the more beginner you are, the better equipment you should get!

beginners like you and me should therefore use the best pianos we can afford!

you can start with the most expensive german grand piano, as you get better and better, you can downgrade to a german upright piano, an english piano, then a yamaha piano.

the end point is hopefully a child's toy piano (for the elite, they use those that make no sound)

Wrong !

The elite people still have the best piano, but won't play piano by themselves anymore. They would ask other people to play piano for them. No need to hurt their own finger.

BTW.. all Nikon are good.
Quick question...

Do you guys turn on D-Lighting or Off?
Just wanna know your preference.

sometimes its the lower performance or features of cheaper camera makes us realise the theory behind things and also the reason to get better equips

I only turn it on only when sky is too bright...

btw, back to the topic... so which is the BEST lens for d7000? ;p

I see... *nod nod*...

So my goal was to take photos with my fingers acting as a shutter and aperture and having a roll of film in my covered palm... not to mention changing the 'lens' by altering the properties of the air in front of my fingers so that it could zoom, focus and not affecting the colour... that's the true level of a photography grandmaster huh? :bsmilie:

Wrong! The bestest of the best dont need anyone to play, they just play it in their heads only :)

So the ultimate is just use our eyes, imagination & memory to record everything, forget about cameras, save time, money & arguments. Our eyes & brains, best cams in the world :)
