weeks back...i already did a M.O for Parallel imported D3.....hmmm sad to say for cam bodies....everyone still prefers local set warranty, even if the price is $1,000SGD cheaper..
( grey D3 almost $1k cheaper now vs. local D3 )

seriously, for cam bodies, 99.9% of singaporeans will still feel 'safer' buying local set.

lens & flashes....more adventurous though... alot have bought from overseas.

Bodies? forget abt the idea to bring in grey/PI sets....tried, tested, proven

i think it's because lenses have 1 yr international warranty.

with regards to this... just wanted to check something. For camera, local warranty is 1 year right? So technically, if i buy in HK, within 1 year period, any problem, i go back HK and repair and it's covered under warranty.

However, what happen if i bring to NIKON SG to repair if i did not want to travel? Will they charge the same as SG repair (after SG warranty expire) or more or totally refuse to repair?

From Kakaku website, D700 listed price is 293955 Japanese yen, http://kakaku.com/item/00490711133/ which is about S$3.72k, after 5% tax rebate, it is about S$3.5k.

3.5k is very tempting...
