I called cathay yesterday. They quoted me $3650 leh. :embrass:
Wonder if by Dec can hit $3.2k and that is my target price. I have 2pcs of D200 to let go. :bheart:
i bought mine at 3650 abt 2weeks plus ago from cathay. credit card. nett price.

but i dont think it will drop any much more. a bit maybe.
D700 afterall is a high quality product.
Nikon is always more expensive than Canon for the same category of products anyway. SIde by side, Nikon has many things that it can pride over Canon for.

hmm... then you better get a quote personally from Kelvin cos I was with Sk8te when he bought the D700 and price is $35XX and $36XX by CC or instalment. :thumbsup:

Hi all, I went to HK for a walk today (currently in China, Guangdong) and these are the prices i was quoted from Wing Shing and Man Cheung (correct spelling?) in Mong Kok.
Both of them quote the same wor.
D700 - $20500 HKD
SB-900 - $3600 HKD
Just in case you are interested in other stuff that i check out for myself and my friends as well.
These are the quotes.
Nikon
D300- $11200 HKD
SB-800- $2650 HKD
SB-600- $1750 HKD
24-70 f2.8- $13800 HKD
Sigma 30mm f1.4 (Nikon Mount) - $3300 HKD
Canon
40D - $6490 HKD
50D - $9890 HKD
18-200IS - $4850 HKD
Doesn't seems to be any cheaper leh...:dunno:

That is the best price that i have received from stores.

Yea man...But what surprise me was the price of Sigma 30mm f1.4.
A lot of info here states it is around 500++. But when i went there, it is like same price like SG leh.

when pressed further for a discount, saying i paying cash, he told me another 10 to 20 dollars off....

in Korea itself cameras aren't really cheap but based on the exchange rate now. From what i saw in my regular korean electronics price, 2,930,000 won base on xe.com rate now it's SGD 1 = 885 won so it's $3310. SB-900 at 503,000 won = $568
