D70 or S2 Pro?

I think you can equally good results from both cameras. It is just that you can get a 1 full year warranty with brand new D70. Unless you can find a used s2pro that is much cheaper than D70, my recommendation would be go for the D70.

The S2 Pro is a darn great camera. Fantastic colours, great hi-ISO-low-noise, double the pixel info (interpolation does not matter to me). Even at 2,000 for a second-hand unit, it's a good buy.
(Yes, I use the S2 also)

At last the lady meets her champ!!!
Even with the introduction of the S3, the S2 is still very worthwhile. I am still hanging on to my S1 as the shots that came out of it is better than my previous S2 and current D1X IMO!

Though the S1 may lack the feature vs the S2 and the S2 may vis-a-vis the S3, do you really use all the additional features if you could control and use the existing features? I've learned my lessons.

To answer your question, I think you should wait for the price of S2 to drop before getting it. Its a very good camera.

I think the price increase doesn't matter cos no one is getting them anyway. S3 shld be priced no higher than S2.
