 Hmm.... I used to NOT post-process my D100 images, and they look good (or is it great?) out of the camera. Only occassionally I need to up the levels a bit. But most of the time, no need to PS here PS there...

Well, I got very low expectations, don't I? eh? :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

I don't a problem withy D70/D100. if it is what one shoots, then it obviously the photographer and not the camera.

:nono: :nono: :nono:

How can you blame the photographer?

Nope, my skills not powderful. In fact I got <1yr of SLR/DSLR experience. I think the fundamental thing is that, know your camera and environment, then compensate (exposure, etc) for the weaknesses.

Now that I've changed camera, I've a lot of post-processing to do.

I think the poor thread-starter is the innocent one... thread boiled into such a mess.

Well, SK, if you are still reading this - join some of us in May for an outing lor. I'll ask a D70 and a S2 Pro to come along. ;) But I can't think of a G3... sorry, will a Coolpix do?
(seriously)

   No no no, don't get me wrong. :(

When I first had my D100, I got the so called "unexposure" problems, but after understanding what it's all about, things get better. Also, at then I used manual all the time rather than AP/SP/P, test the exposure, no good, adjust, no good again, adjust again. And that time newbie mah, anything also can. :p

No processing =/= Good photographer, :nono: :nono: :nono:
Many processing =/= No-Good photographer, :nono: :nono: :nono:

Anyway, just lighten up, enlighten those who wished to be enlightened, enlightenment can only be achieved by the enlighted.

/* aren't we talking about lousy cameras? what has it got to do with the photographer?

I agree with you. ;)

It's still not very messy isn't it?

I have a G3 that is collecting dust in the cupboard..

Pictures shot wide open at ISO 1600 in low light conditions had very poor shadow details and yes, soft with that 3k lens.

End of story.

If that was the end of story, then why is the Epilogue getting longer and longer? :-)

You have to understand one thing. Your Girl Friend might be pretty for you. But, if I go and tell you on your face that your gril friend is ugly, you would definitely mind. You have done exactly that over here. So, do expect some bricks coming your way.

And saying that photos from D100 and 17-35 is sh*t is no opinion. It is like saying Pam Anderson has small boobs. :-)

If someone says my XXX camera sucks, I really won't give a sh*t. You mean you do? Apparently some do here. However, I am glad people like Gadrian and Ansel are around to straighten me up and I appreciate their comments.
If you mind what others say about your GF's looks, then it goes to show how shallow you are as a person.

Wooo... look who said a D100 + 17-35/2.8 sucked... :)

Huh? I said it sucked yes IMO. But then if you said my favourite lens+camera combo sucked, I don't really give a shitt.

That was what I meant. Anyway, I don't own the D100/lens combo long enough to know all its wonders maybe. ;p

Can everyone else here please ignore the troll and offer something more constructive to SK.

Yes, I remember SK from an AG to CCK...

As for D70, well, my one encounter with it showed that whoever/whatever you are, you definitely need to get familiar with what your gear(s) can do.

As I am so fond of saying to those who go on outings with me, "...don't trust that LCD..." for postviews or otherwise, it cannot be used to determine the final output. (Ok, I didn't mention this to you, SK...)

And if you'd like, I can let you try your hand on my S2.

Mr Azsure, please watch your language. I was responding to other's direct comment at my postings and I needed to clarify. Don't need to get personal here by calling me names. If others won't do it, I will not do it too. If you don't want to read, just skip them.
