D610 User Thread

actually, for singapore set there's no kit lens bundled in.
24-85, 70-300 or 28-300 were some bundles available for the us market.

Hi, i would like to check with current D610 user any dust spot issue they have encounter till date before i park my cash on it.

Thank in advance

D610 is good. No issues.

Good luck! :D

Anyone recently bought d610? Can share with me the purchased price and the freebies? Do PM me please, thank you in advance.

anyone own mirorless and own d610? will there be noticeable difference in photo IQ between EM5 or nex6000 or fuji xe2?

IQ like dynamic range, high iso snr, and sharpness.
ASPC mirrorless i think fujifilm very nice like xe2, AF speed not major issue to me...

Absolutely. You can see a lot more details in D600/610 or other full-frame photos when shot with a good lens.

Personally I don't care about dynamic range, older CCD and Canon DSLRs have already enough for me.

Just compare the outputs from the bodies + lenses and decide for yourself.

Have u checked out dxomark.com?
I don't think that helps here. ;)

Some mirrorless like EM1 is coming very close, surpassing even the D3 in some areas. But in the end you need to determine which system suit your needs better. A camera like D3 definitely handles and shoots a lot faster. If the parameters mentioned are the only things that matter to you, the d800 might be a better choice.

Hi D600/610 owners

Just to check, are you all bothered by the focusing points all positioned in the middle of the frame?

No because I knew that before I bought it. :) It's a compromise for sure, if you want a better coverage you need to carry a heavier body (D800/D4 or 5DIII/1Dx). However, even the D800/D4 AF sensor's coverage doesn't satisfy me. Sure it's MUCH better but frankly in all those decades of autofocus manufacturers haven't really made much progress when it comes to AF point coverage and the centre is still much better than the outer rim. ;) If I have time to compose and to set focus I really enjoy CDAF (and MF) because it works everywhere in the frame.

I'm not bothered by the number of focusing pts cos I'm more of a focus and re-compose person. :)

In that case a good centre point is all you need. ;)

Sometimes... I do wish there are AF points all around the screen.
