Hi, i am using D610 upgraded from D90. There is not much problem but the main issue is the RAW file is not supported by LR4 and CS6. I have to convert it to TIFF and this killing my storage. Furthermore, the HDR mode in the body seems not being activated.

If I am not wrong HDR mode can only be activated in jpeg only. If you enable raw + jpeg hdr will be grey out. You may want to use Adobe DNG Converter 8.3 to convert .nef to universal DNG raw format which old version of LR should work...

I'm using LR 5.3 which has the update to read nef files created by D610.

Nikon Singapore will still repair/service the grey set, but at the full repair/service cost as though there was no warranty. Standard service charges ard $27 for sensor cleaning, abt $100 upwards for repair costs. So maybe within a year of purchase of grey set, u may need to go Nikon Singapore Service Centre to repair/service a few times at the full pricing. Repair 20 times, $100 per repair = the cost of a grey set D610. Worth the money? U decide.

Thanks for your suggestion for the LR 5.3. But i wonder why my friend's laptop with LR 5.3 still not able to read it, i think i got to have a try for my laptop. Thank you.

I lucky no problems w grey set, never had to go svc center within first yr, after that its same.

Also shop will pay for any servicing within first year if really required. Of course u take ur chances and is more inconvenient to buy local.

But of course if afraid of this n tht then pls buy from biggest reputable shop u can find lor..

Most importantly, pls research grey New set price b4 buying frm bns, some of whom are selling at even higher prices without warranty..
