Hi everyone,

The SD card formatted by my D600 has difficulty when copying/ transferring pics in my Mac. When i format the SD card on my D800, shoot it with the D600, i can transfer pics easily. But its not possible if i format it with the D600.

Can anyone advice me?

Is your difficulty copying IN or copying OUT?

You are using external card reader or direct SD card reader from imac? No problem for me... Using only sandisk brand...

No problem on my MacBook, fromt the SD card of D600, direct transfer at the port without card reader.

However if I don't delect the images on the SD card, the downloading will start from the very beginning. Hence wait for long time when all the photos are shown, then I can select the ones to transfer to NX.

Can anyone advise how to show and transfer only the recent one, without delecting the previous photos ?

Both copying in and out. Again like i said, when the card is formatted by D800 and used on the D600, it has no problem.

No one has this problem?

Direct reading from MacBook Leh. Never had this problem before... :( No one has this problem?

I always format the SD card in D600 and import the files directly into Lightroom on a Mac. Never had any problems ...

What's the problem faced and the exact error you get?

anyone can adivse on the bettery life? if i left the d600 in off state for a few, the battery will still drained, quite fast compared to my previous D7000. TIA

No batteries draining issues for me. R u using original batts?

No battery draining for my D600 too and I usually take out my SD card and plug into my Macbook Pro for photo transfers, no issues. Btw, I had read somewhere that these memory cards are best formatted using the camera, not computer.

Lastly, if you are having issues reading/writing to the memory card in a computer, how about connecting a usb cable to your camera and make the camera as a usb reader? Just a thought.

Using the original as well as 2nd original batt. The batt will drained to 1 bar from 3 or 4 bar in one or two weeks time. Dont recall this with my previous d7k

Better send your camera into NSC to get a look at. Doesn't sound normal.

I used two SD card to test. One formatted by D800 (and used on the D600). One is formatted by the D600 (and used on the D600).

The D800 formatted SD card has no problem transferring the images out onto my MacBook. I have no problems copying the images/ folder to another folder/ harddisk.

The D600 formatted SD card has no problem transferring the images onto my Macbook. But i have problem copying those same images/ folder to another folder/ harddisk.

Any advice? Thanks!

You need to be more specific, what problem? Slowness? Unable to copy? Etc. Any error messages?

No problems copying the images out of the D600 formatted card. But after that, difficulty in transferring those images to other hard disk. Also cannot transfer images into that same D600 formatted SD card.

The other HDD is formatted as FAT32 or NTFS? If it's NTFS you won't be able to complete the operation as Mac does not write to NTFS (with the exception of a network translation).

Transfer images back into the card, as in you copy back but the camera cannot view?

The battery that comes with my D600 is poor. The serial number of the battery is 201207xxxx. It's battery life dropped from 4 to 3 (taken from battery info in menu of the camera) quite a while ago, when my SC was just 7-8k, and it can't hold charge as well when comparerd to my old 2011 original D7000 battery, which is still having a "4" rating. Might have something to do with the QC I think.

I did not question NSC for this though. Am living with it now and I doubt NSC will entertain battery issues.

I would recommend you bring the camera and battery to nsc to get the problem looked at. It is just not normal bro.

Have you tried switching the cards around? Take the d800 formatted card and format it in d600. And take the d600 formatted card and format it in d600.

So you can see if the problem in the card or the file structure.

Have any members got the Multi-Power Battery Pack MB-D14 ? If so how much you got it ? Thanks ;)

Hi There, I would like to check with any ex D7000 users if the external battery grip MB-D11 can be used on the D600 (since their body is so similar).
If it cannot be used, then may I ask what is the latest price for the MB-D14 and where is the best place to purchase this.
